Amanda Cole is an abstract landscape painter currently living in Norman, Oklahoma. She grew up in an artistic home where her father taught her the joys of coloring in the lines at an early age. She has always seen life in full, vibrant color and paints the same way. Cole graduated with a degree in psychology after a brief stint in art school.
Amanda’s current body of work is focused on breaking down landscapes into unique and colorful spaces. Her process is methodical as she moves through a piece. Every painting begins with a quick sketch to map out the perfect steadiness between pencil strokes. The colors chosen have no limits as she explores the palette. Her work is well thought out and balanced, often leaving a calming effect with the viewer.
Amanda is currently represented by Art & Light Gallery in Greenville, SC.
